We’ve lost another great actor. John Hurt, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role as the “Elephant Man” in the movie of the same name in 1980, passed away yesterday at the age of 77. His career spanned about 60 years. He played many popular roles in his lifetime, most recently “War Doctor” in the “Doctor Who” series. He also played “Mr. Ollivander” in “Harry Potter” movies.
Though his exact cause of death has not been released, it is known that Hurt suffered from pancreatic cancer. Our condolences to his family. May his memory be eternal. – BMT
